Ebbets Field Flannels Cap Collaborations

I don't know about you, but I'm pretty excited that the 2014 baseball season begins in a little over 24 hours. Although I hope to bring you posts in the upcoming months on fan gear from independent brands, I thought it would be cool to focus on one team-issued item in every player's locker that probably is also part of your everyday "uniform" - the baseball cap. Its use by baseball teams can be traced all the way back to 1860, when it was first donned by the Brooklyn Excelsiors.

Hat makers that create ballcaps emblazoned with team logos have also supplied product for countless apparel companies. Ebbets Field Flannels has crafted some extraordinary pieces in collaboration with numerous independent brands, all of which are made in the U.S.A. Their standard pattern is based on the fitted cap of the 1954 Cleveland Indians and typically constructed of wool broadcloth that resembles the material of the original ballcaps, but the closure (fitted versus adjustable) and materials vary in the selections listed below. This line-up will keep you looking good outside the park, even if you don't have a favorite team.
