Electric Zombie "Re-Animated"

Electric Zombie's Summer 2013 line, "Re-Animated" dropped right at the end of last week and it's about time I stopped slacking and gave it a proper write-up. You don't need me to tell you that all the new items are fantastic, as Kyle wouldn't put out anything less than extraordinary. The title of the line, "Re:Animated" is based on the concept of going back through the first seven lines and breathing new life into the designs that made the brand what it is today. There is an in-depth breakdown of the process and side-by-side comparisons of the old and new designs in Kyle's own words over on the EZ blog.

About half of the shirts/sweatshirts/button downs in my closet are black, so I'm always on the lookout for brighter colored shirts (even neon and tie-dye) that still fit my style, just to switch it up. Most designs out there simply look best on a black, white or gray blank, and plopping them on any other color shirt "just because" would be unfair to the artwork. I believe it really says something about the care and thorough planning that goes into a piece when the result is that you (the consumer) look at a pink shirt; and you say to yourself "I don't own any shirts this color, but I can't imagine this design looking this awesome on any other color, and now I have to have it!" I've always felt like Kyle really gets that.

The EZ website and store also received a makeover and it has to be my favorite layout of the site to date. It reminds me of my childhood, which is what attracted me to this brand in the first place. You can peep the new site design and the rest of the "Re-Animated" collection over at theelectriczombie.com.
